SOME COMMON APPLICATIONS OF LNG

Predicted to become a new alternative fuel source in efforts to mitigate the impact of emissions on the environment, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is being evaluated as a replacement energy source for the present and future globally. Although in developed countries like the US, UK, and Japan, LNG has been widely used and applied for a long time. In the near future, LNG is also promised to become a commonly used fuel in Vietnam with various applications.

Some Common Applications of LNG in Vietnam

ADVANTAGE	Reduces CO2 emissions by approximately 40% compared to coal. Natural gas does not emit fine dust or SOx. NOx emissions are reduced by up to 90%.	Reduces CO2 emissions by approximately 15-20% compared to diesel. Natural gas does not emit particulate matter or SOx. NOx emissions are reduced by up to 90%.

Some applications of liquefied natural gas (LNG)

Industries that can use LNG for production include: Metallurgy; Mechanical engineering; Food; Plastics; Steel; Nitrogen production, fertilizers, etc.

In addition, in some European countries, liquefied natural gas (LNG) is also used in areas such as:

Domestic: LNG is used to serve human needs such as cooking, water, heating, dehumidifying, etc.
Commercial: For this sector, LNG is distributed to hospitals, schools, high-rise buildings, restaurants, etc. for cooking, air conditioning, dehumidifying or on-site power generation.
Transportation: LNG is used to replace traditional transportation fuels, with good performance and the ability to reduce environmental pollution, LNG is used as fuel for buses, trucks, trains, etc.
